Privacy Policy for Sumizen

This Privacy Policy describes how Pixelit Studio (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the mobile application Sumizen: Mahjong Tile Match (the “App”), available on Google Play.

Information We Collect

The App does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details. Your game progress, settings, and statistics are stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or store this data on our servers, and we cannot access it. Local game data is not included in Android cloud backup or device to device transfer.

 

We do not collect any information about you ourselves. The third party services listed below do collect certain data when the App is used, as described in the following sections.

Advertising

The App shows optional rewarded video advertisements. These are never forced on you: a rewarded ad plays only when you choose to watch one, for example to receive an extra hint. The App does not display banner or interstitial advertisements.

 

Advertisements are served by Google AdMob, a third party advertising service provided by Google. To serve ads, AdMob may collect and process your device advertising identifier and other device identifiers, your IP address, approximate location derived from that IP address, general device information, diagnostic and crash information, and information about how you interact with the App and with the advertisements. This information is collected by Google as an independent third party and is shared with Google for the purpose of delivering and measuring advertising.

 

Depending on your consent choices, advertisements may be personalized or non personalized.

You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings under Google and Ads.

Consent

Where required by law, for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you will be shown a consent form when you first launch the App. There you can choose whether to allow personalized advertising.

 

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, without reinstalling the App, by opening Settings inside the App and selecting Privacy options. This opens the same consent form and your new choice applies immediately.

In App Purchases

The App offers an optional one time purchase called Sumizen Premium. It removes all advertisements, provides unlimited hints and undos, and unlocks every tile theme and background instantly. Purchasing is entirely optional, and all themes and backgrounds can also be unlocked for free by playing.

 

Payments are processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details or your purchase history. Your purchase status is verified through Google Play so that it can be restored on your devices.

Children

The App is a casual puzzle game intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We have configured advertising so that only advertisements rated for general audiences are requested. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will address it.

Data Security

Game data is stored only on your device and is protected by the security measures of your device. Information transmitted by the third party services listed below is encrypted in transit.

 

Uninstalling the App deletes all locally stored game data. Because the App does not use accounts and holds no data on our side, there is no separate account or data deletion request to make.

Third Party Services

The App uses the following third party services: Google Play Services, Google AdMob, and Google Play Billing. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes.

Third Party Assets and Licenses

Sumizen includes artwork and font outlines from third party open source projects.

 

Tile artwork in the Traditional theme is derived from the riichi-mahjong-tiles set by FluffyStuff, released under the CC0 1.0 Universal public domain dedication.

 

Tile artwork in the Bamboo Grove theme includes graphics from Google Noto Emoji, licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. A copy of the license is available at https://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0 

 

Numerals in the same theme are rendered from the Baloo 2 typeface, licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. A copy of the license is available at https://openfontlicense.org

 

All other tile artwork and background images in Sumizen are original works created for this app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
